England beat Denmark to reach Euro 2024 play-offs
Lauren James scores the only goal as England beat Denmark 1-0 to reach the Euro 2024 play-offs.
England will now face France in the play-offs, with the winner of that tie qualifying for the tournament in the Netherlands.
Lauren James scored the only goal of the game in the 15th minute, slotting home from close range after good work from Rachel Daly.
England had the better of the chances throughout the game and could have won by more, but they were unable to capitalise on their dominance.
However, they were able to hold on to their lead and secure a vital victory.
England boss Sarina Wiegman said: "I'm really pleased with the performance and the result.
"We knew that Denmark would be a tough opponent, but we played with great intensity and created a lot of chances.
"We're delighted to have reached the play-offs and we're looking forward to the challenge of facing France."
